Abstract

From the culture fluid of a Streptomyces species isolated from the soil of Kunitachi, Tokyo, two tubercular antibiotics were obtained in crystal forms and named questiomycins A and B. The isolation and purification, the chemical and physical properties, and chem. structures of the ese antibiotics were studied. The chemical structures of questiomycins A and B were determined as 6-aminophenoxazone and o-aminophenol, respectively.
